Habit 2.2.8 released
An new version of Habit2 - version 2.2.8 - is now available on our downloads page.
This version is nearly identical to the previous version. The previous version (2.2.7) used an installer that will not work on MacOS Catalina (10.15) and beyond. This version can be installed on MacOS Catalina (10.15) and Big Sur (11). This version will also run on older MacOS, including Mojave (10.14) and High Sierra (10.13).
Users of Sierra (10.12) and older should use Habit2-2.2.7.
Known problems:
The sample stimuli files (images, sounds, and movies) are not included with this installer. I am working on a fix for this and it will be released as an update to this version. You may notice this if you create an experiment using a template. The template experiments use sample stimuli, and the resulting experiment will be displayed with yellow background in the main dialog because those sample stimuli are not found.
If you upgraded from an earlier version of Habit, however, then the sample stimuli will be present on your computer, and the template experiments will be able to find and display their stimuli.
The absence of the sample stimuli does not affect the operation of Habit2 in any other way.
